When opening a new directory in winefile, it takes a while before the directory
is displayed (especially when it's larger) and column painting is slow enough
to see things change while it's being done.

I don't like this, because winefile is often the quickest way for me to run an
application through Wine.
Everything should be done, so winefile can easily be used as a GUI to launch
Windows applications. (It's just easier to browse c:\ in winefile than a
drive_c in a hidden .wine in konq/naut!)

I'm using Wine 1.1.2 on Ubuntu Hardy.

It's still occuring with 1.1.14. I'll try it with 1.1.15 once the Ubuntu
packages are released.

It's easy to verify this by just running winefile. You'll see the columns
flashing and it's not as quick as it could be.

It does seem better now, as i can open directories with thousands of file and
see just a sec of flickering in the beginning: even better than native!

It's still slow here. On a fast system, the redraw happens fast enough, but on
a slower system, you see the columns flicker a few times before you can do
anything in Winefile. Native is much faster. (Native Windows, not native
winfile in Wine.)
