Vanilla wine 1.3.10 using steam to download and play the demo for Magic the
Gathering: duel of the planeswalkers.  The main menu loads (but is darn slow
and choppy on my machine) and then crashes with the attached trace.

Warnings outputted during loading

Before the crash the game also outputs the following warnings about 2x per
second.

Crash with VideoMemorySize set

I was recommended to try setting VideoMemorySize.  I did, and the game still
crashed, but seemingly in a different way

Crash with winetricks d3dx9

Got another tip to try winetricks d3dx9.  Did that, and this time all loading
screens appeared normal and main game menu looked 95% better (still some black
bars).  Menu is still unbearably slow but ultimately functional.  Clicked on
start a campaign and again got what looks like a proper loading screen until it
crashed.
