After successful installation of Doctor Who the Adventure Games - Blood of the cybermen I can not start the game.
If I start from the desktop launcher I receive the generic error "The program WhoLauncher.exe has encountered a serious problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience"
If I start from the terminal I get an error message saying I have changed my hardware and must reinstall the application. Within the terminal itself I recive the message "fixme:win:EnumDisplayDevicesW ((null),0,0x33f584,0x00000000), stub! "

Wine freezes on "Backtrace:" without no further output. Output from winedbg with backtrace is in the second attachement.

fixme:shdocvw:ProvideClassInfo_GetClassInfo (0x13c9e0)->(0x86e658)
Installing ie6 from winetricks lets the launcher start. I can't reproduce the message box with the game itself unless I forcibly hack the install-time region check rather than tunneling the authentication connection through a UK host.
