Summary: winemenubuilder.exe error Product: Wine Version: 20050930 Platform: PC-x86-64 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: directx-dplay AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: aceristovski@hotmail.com
The program winemenubuilder.exe has encoutered a serious problem and need to close. we are sorry...
win applications works fine(exp. office 2007), just this error appear at start and after couple reboots it start showing windows blue wallpaper and win programs are started in that background(win blue-standard)(but I resolve this by unchecking the "Emulate a virtuel Desktop")... This error shows up even if I start "winecfg", first contact with this error was during the installation from terminal (sudo apt-get install wine).

--- Comment #1 from Paul Romanyszyn pgr@arcelectronicsinc.com 2009-07-08 19:26:32 --- Check what wine --version shows as 20050930 is very old. If so upgrade to the current release and retest.
Try with a clean wine prefix and check that you don't have a wineserver running in background.

Thanks for quick answer... :) I'm using the latest "wine-1.1.25"... In system monitor there is wineserver only when I activate wine program. I'll repeat, the wine program and the windows programs run as they should be, there is only one problem, that annoying error that shows up every time I run wine or wine-installed programs, I just click "close" and then I can continue working in wine or win apps. Thanks again :)
