+ many application packages for the design and programming of programmable
+ electronic chips (PLD,CPLD and FPGA) contain as one tool Synplicity Synplify.
+ These tools are protected with FLEXLM. For downloadable Demos, a node locked
+ license for the serial number of the C: drive may be obtained.

+ Synplify doesn't recognize the license in that context. 
+ 
+ In my understanding:
+ - no access to sentinel.vxd(winXX) or rnbodrv.sys (ntxx) is needed, as a
+ parallel installation on vmware works without these tools
+ - synplify has the flexlm library version 5.2 static linked
+ 
+ I suspected differences in time related functions but none seemed to cause that
+ problem.
+ 
+ Any hints welcome.

+ Package downloadabe are e.g. quickworks from www.quicklogic.com (generates 3 day
+ demo license during install), isplever from www.latticesemi.com ( 1/2 year
+ license has to be requested by mail) and probably more.
