The application crashes (displays error message, becomes unresponsive, error
message cannot be clicked) when trying to load a previously saved front panel
file.
Terminal displays no output(none at all).

As of the most recent wine version, saved files are being loaded just fine.
I don't really know my around all this bug-stuff yet, so I just marked it
Resolved.

Hello folks,

judging from the bug report date it was likely Front Panel Designer 3.5 or
3.5.1.

The old version of Front Panel Designer 3.5.x is unfortunately no longer
available. The download link was dynamically generated using .php form/script
hence no snapshot was taken. Removing broken download link.
