Then under "Graphics" remove the check next to "Allow the window manager to control the windows". This is the third check box you see under version 0.9.12. Once you are done making any other changes you need for your specific audio preference et cetra then click "OK". Now launch the game as you normally would. Wine now renders your game fullscreen on top of all other elements of your environment without caring what your window manager thinks about it.
