--- Comment #25 from paul wang ypw@att.net 2011-12-19 21:30:14 CST --- Thanks all who help to fix the bugs. Now I would declare that WINE can run BCS.EXE. Although there is still couple of 'fixme' messages:
fixme:hook:SetWindowsHookEx16 System-global hooks (3) broken in Win16 fixme:hook:SetWindowsHookEx16 System-global hooks (4) broken in Win16
But it doesn't bother me in terms of running BCS.EXE in Fedora 14 x64bit version with WINE version wine-1.3.21. The command to run is as following:
env -i PATH=$PATH DISPLAY=$DISPLAY XAUTHORITY=$XAUTHORITY HOME=$HOME /usr/bin/wine "C:\bcs\BCS.EXE"
One caveat to be aware of is in order to view all the installed "bibles", you may need to rename all the bible files in CAPITAL case. For example, cp Niv.dat NIV.DAT, etc. Otherwise you won't be able to see and select them in the "New Bible Window" of Gramcord menu.
Have a Merry Christmas and a Wonderful New Year!
