- Download the Adobe Application Manager from https://creative.adobe.com/apps
( you need a Windows user-agent to see the download links )
can't follow that step, seems the page has changed since bug creation. ( i visited the page with firefox nightly running in Wine )

--- Comment #6 from Robert Munteanu robert.munteanu@gmail.com 2012-11-05 04:43:23 CST --- Have you tried creating an account? I already have an Adobe ID so the links are available . AFAIK there is a 30-day trial so you could use that.

I could somehow reproduce a bug, but without http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=41767 (just "Exiting Installer with Code: 0" on commandline) So i tried to understand the bug and run it with WINEARCH=win32 WINEDEBUG=relay and the bug disappeared most likely because of the relay logging, that's bad, but at least for this bug it's a great workaround. Can you try that too and post your experience with it please?

Sry, it seems i worked too hard today :) Exit Code 0 is of course like no error. So no matter what i do it installs here. wine-1.5.16 + git
could you try that wine version and/or report your application manager version

--- Comment #9 from Robert Munteanu robert.munteanu@gmail.com 2012-11-06 03:27:53 CST --- For me it fails with WINEDEBUG=relay as well, but I think we have different binaries. The one I'm trying to use is a small program (~2 MB) which downloads the bulk of the data after being launched.

I can confirm this in wine-1.5.16-202-g74ec93b
winetricks winhttp gets it a bit further, it then hangs instead of erroring out. Next fixme's are secur32/wintrust, but native secur32 (with winhttp) gives an error about the remote server not responding.
I'll attach a winhttp trace.

The file to be downloaded:
http://ccmdl.adobe.com/AdobeProducts/KCCC/1/win32/ACCCx3_1_0_108.zip
The returned error code -60 is rather generic:
https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/download-update-errors.html
https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/error--60-trying-download.html
The app creates several threads to have each handle a chunk of the large file (around 2 MB segment, GET + byte range), with 8 KB transferred at a time (winhttp).
The internal error (through debugging):
'Retry count overshoot for ERROR_SEGMENT_VALIDATION_FAILURE'
There is a fixed number of segment retrieval/validation retries until the app gives up: 0x3C = 60
I patched this threshold in the debugger at runtime to infinite and the app requested all segments over and over again. I cancelled after some minutes, with data re-downloaded in the GB range through retries.
To simulate the download behaviour of the app on the CDN, 'axel' is useful here. You need to pass special user agent otherwise you get 'unauthorized' error.
