Summary: After working around an installation on a legally store purchased copy of this game, the game refuses to load under Wine. The application issues the traditional 'Please insert the correct DVD into the drive.' error.
Architecture: Tested on both Ubuntu 8.10 amd64 and i386 versions using WineHQ's Ubuntu Debian repositories version 1.1.0

If you would like to see output based on a copy to disk and merge installation, I can create that easily - assuming the 'cheated' install doesn't affect your diagnosis.
