Summary: LEGO Racer's (original) crashes when starting up. Product: Wine Version: 0.9.49. Platform: PC URL: http://www.download.com/LEGO-Racers-demo/3000-7524_4- 10230131.html OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: wine-misc AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: echidnaman@gmail.com
Created an attachment (id=9096) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=9096) Crash log
The original LEGO Racers game crashes when one tries to start the application. Crash log included. No clue what Component to file this under either.
There is a demo of the game, but it seems to crash at a different stage of loading the game. (I don't claim to be an expert, mind you.)

--- Comment #1 from Vitaliy Margolen vitaliy@kievinfo.com 2007-11-11 10:39:02 --- Looks like some heap corruptions in msvideo/quartz.

With the demo, I get a different crash log.

--- Comment #3 from Jonathan echidnaman@gmail.com 2007-12-01 16:29:45 --- A dll override will bypass this.
It still won't run: fixme:x11drv:X11DRV_desktop_SetCurrentMode Cannot change screen BPP from 32 to 16 wine: Unhandled page fault on read access to 0x00000000 at address 0x7ef9fa9f (thread 000d), starting debugger... err:seh:raise_exception Unhandled exception code c0000005 flags 0 addr 0x7ef9fa9f
... but that's another bug.

--- Comment #4 from Jonathan echidnaman@gmail.com 2007-12-16 05:52:59 --- It no longer crashes. Lego Racer's won't play the movie it's supposed to and pops up an error message/exits, but it doesn't crash with these errors anymore.
Would this bug be classified as fixed now?

--- Comment #5 from Jonathan echidnaman@gmail.com 2007-12-16 06:09:58 --- The demo crash can be bypassed by using a native dinput.dll. The movies actually play in the demo! :o

--- Comment #6 from Jonathan echidnaman@gmail.com 2007-12-16 06:20:06 --- Seeing as LEGO Racers no longer crashes, we can close this as fixed.

--- Comment #7 from Vitaliy Margolen vitaliy@kievinfo.com 2007-12-16 13:12:39 --- How did you "fixed" it? Using native dll(s)?

--- Comment #8 from Jonathan echidnaman@gmail.com 2007-12-16 13:31:35 --- I updated to 0.9.51 and it no longer crashes. I saw some quartz work in the changelog for .51 so I'm not suprised.
