[Bug 6574] WoW in OpenGL mode aborts under 0.9.24

OK, here is a summary of my tests so far :

- Using gcc 4.1.1 :

- 0.9.24 : WoW fails at startup
   - git (origin) : WoW launches, but hangs when quitting
   - git (0.9.24) : WoW launches, hangs when quitting
   - cvs : WoW launches, hangs when quitting

- git (regression tests) : all bijections were good, was not able to spot the
regressing patch.

- Using gcc 3.4.6 :

- 0.9.24 : WoW launches, and quits properly
   - git (origin) : WoW launches, but hangs when quitting
   - cvs : WoW launches, but hangs when quitting

The bug sees solved, going to see bug #6578
