--- Comment #2 from Andrew Nguyen arethusa26@gmail.com 2010-09-13 22:01:03 CDT --- Does enabling XRender support in your X server make a difference? The installer certainly works fine for me in wine-1.3.2-195-ge1b9a5c.

--- Comment #3 from David djackson780@gmail.com 2010-09-13 23:11:36 CDT --- This bug is clearly being caused due to the fact that I was using firefox/flash on a XVNC server, from realvnc. This server does not support the Render extensions. So, thats why it is not working properly. I tried flash installer on the X.org main server and it works fine there.

--- Comment #4 from David djackson780@gmail.com 2010-09-13 23:19:02 CDT --- It is truly a pity that there is no Xrender support on the XVNC server. It might be a more valuable use of time to create an XVNC server that supports render than to try to fix Wine to workaround no render. So, I do not suggest or ask this to be fixed. It may not be worth the time to fix Wine to support the older server vs. fixing XVNC to support Xrender which would also result in many other applications working better with Xvnc. So I will not suggest a lot of time be spent to fix this bug, there are I am sure more pressing priorities, like better support for more Windows applications, which I believe is more important.

--- Comment #5 from David djackson780@gmail.com 2010-09-13 23:26:23 CDT --- ID also like to note that the flash player has installed fine, however, when during my testing on the X.org server, attempting to play the flash video on youtube, results in Firefox completely locking up. I think there is another bug report already for this issue. So certainly the problem with the flash player locking up on any X server is a much bigger priority.
