I tried with wine-9.15 and still get a grey screen.

So, I can confirm this issue, but not the regression. Can you retest with
wine-9.15?

I am not seeing a gray screen anywhere. Do you mean that the installer is gray,
or the launcher, or the game itself?

Well on fedora installing wine installs 9.15 is the stable which works, but
when installing winehq-devel which is 9.22 gives tye gray screen for the
installer

I'm guessing this is the Fedora package changing things behind the scenes
again. Removing the regression tag until someone can reproduce an actual
regression with upstream Wine packages.
