Summary: Sea3D Chat Text Display Problem Product: Wine Version: 1.1.12 Platform: All URL: http://www.s3dconnector.net/ OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: minor Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: jacob.keller@gmail.com
Created an attachment (id=18453) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=18453) Wine output when running Sea3D
Sea3D has a problem displaying certain text such as the chat text. It will display, sort of, but be unreadable.
When I see the output from Wine, it has a bunch of errors/warnings which I don't understand, but someone who knows more might be able to figure out what is going on.
Steps to reproduce: 1- Run Sea3D 2- Click on Play Network Game 3- See the chat window's text is hard to read, and the output from wine on the terminal.

--- Comment #1 from Niko Sandschneider nsandschn@gmx.de 2009-12-27 04:27:07 --- Confirming in git with Sea3D 1.20a. "winetricks riched20" works around the bug.

--- Comment #5 from Anastasius Focht focht@gmx.net --- Hello folks,
I can't reproduce this, the chat text is readable.
When reporting bugs that are about GUI/graphics issues *always* provide comparison screenshots with non-working case and from running with Windows (= ought to be). Also an *exact* description: the text that was typed (containing upper/lowercase, special character), font, colour selection etc.
A description like "problem displaying certain text such as the chat text. It will display, sort of, but be unreadable." is not precise enough. For me it looks fine but if you for example typed a specific text in a certain font it could still have a corrupted character display. See what I mean?
