I can confirm this issue using the nVidia binary driver 8178 and kernel 2.6.15.5
vanilla.

However, on Fedora Core 5 Test 3 (patched kernel 2.6.15.1) with VMWare X driver
and mesa GL libs, the error is not reproducable.
