--- Comment #1 from GyB gyebro69@gmail.com 2010-12-14 13:45:49 CST --- Excerpt from your log:
'err:d3d:resource_init Out of adapter memory'
According to the AppDB page of the game you may need to specify the amount of the VRAM on your vga card in the registry: "HKEY_CURRENT_USER>Software>Wine>Direct3D>VideoMemorySize"
My version of the game is from another digital download site and it detects correctly the VRAM size and doesn't crash neither in 1.3.7 nor in the current 1.3.9. It's worth a try and can be applied to bug #25521, too.

--- Comment #4 from byteframe byteframe@gmail.com 2010-12-14 18:58:51 CST --- As I understand wine is still not able to correctly detect video memory in all instances. You will most likely need to set the VideoMemorySize registry key, as I do on my intel 855gm GPU laptop I use to maintain this app. I'll make this a little more explicit in the howto.

--- Comment #5 from maikwagner@yahoo.com 2011-04-12 15:11:16 CDT --- I just tried starting the game using wine 1.3.17 with Direct 3D set. I got it working. Unreal Tournament also works fine.
