Summary: Escape from Monkey Island - saving game freezes Product: Wine Version: 1.1.24 Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: 4plague@gmail.com
When you save a game in EFMI, the game is saved properly (can be succesfully loaded in the future), but the Saving Game screen does not go away. The game engine works, because you can Alt-f4 and click YES, but it seems, like the game waits for some close() operation or sth.

--- Comment #1 from Ken Sharp kennybobs@o2.co.uk 2009-06-22 11:34:31 --- Terminal output? Screenshot? Anything useful??
What version of the game?

--- Comment #2 from Plague 4plague@gmail.com 2009-06-22 11:43:43 --- The problem is, wine does not print anything during the process. Both versions of EFMI (1.0 and patched 1.1). I have wine 1.1.24, bug has been there at least from 1.1.0 (reported by another user). So there's really nothing useful at this state, what debug info should I try to get from wine to help you?

--- Comment #3 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com 2010-06-04 14:54:31 --- Terminal output would be a good start.
Is this still a problem in current (1.2-rc2 or newer) wine?

--- Comment #5 from joaopa jeremielapuree@yahoo.fr 2011-07-18 10:11:59 CDT --- still a bug in current wine?
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=19030
--- Comment #6 from Plague 4plague@gmail.com 2011-07-18 10:57:11 CDT --- I just tested on 1.3.23 (Gentoo unstable latest) and it does save without freezing! I tested both Monkey.exe and Monkey4.exe and it once froze on Monkey.exe, but that is not recommended to use anyway.
So I think this can be marked fixed.
