error info output after program termination

Whenever I try launching HP Prime Virtual calculator
(https://www.hpcalc.org/details/8939), it opens the EULA, and immediately
afterward, it outputs a C++ runtime error. The problem is 100% consistent and
can be easily replicated simply by installing and running the program. The
logfile is attached.

Strangely this starts fine for me using wine from current git, 
wine-7.17-98-g7feaa6795a2, while I can reproduce the error in wine-staging 7.17
(i have no vanilla wine 7.17 installed so couldn`t test that)

So afaik this is probably fixed with some patch that went in last week (?).
 @reporter of bug:  Could you test if it runs for you in wine from current git?

I think we can still move this to bug 51884, as
