Was able to install Home Designer Suite 2014, but hung on "Update finished"
screen.  Tried to File/Exit and got this dump.

Hello folks,

no further response from OP, resolving 'ABANDONED'.

If this is still a problem, provide terminal output, backtrace with most recent
Wine version (1.7.54 as of now).
Also a working download link would help.
