I do have some problems with some OpenGL patches. I tried to replace libglu1-mesa, libglu1-mesa-dev and some others with those recommended for Wine, but I was driven to a jungle of demands for replacing patches by Synaptic. To get those patches changed in, Synaptic notified dozens of core Ubuntu patches like gnome etc. need to be removed first. That would have required me to reinstall practically the entire system at last! I did try advancing further even despite that. But I simply had to give up before I couldn't have returned the old system in case of failure. Even now I had to save tons of patch names to be able to recover them.
