--- Comment #1 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com 2007-11-13 14:32:37 --- Is there a demo of this that shows the same problem? Have you tried a native quartz.dll to see if that works around the problem?

There isn't a demo as far as I know, unfortunately. :(
The game seems to get (slightly) farther with the native .dll, but it still won't run.
Oh, and I did the dll override with winecfg, so that's why it isn't in the log.

I attempted to install the lib32-mpg123 package (https://www.archlinux.org/packages/multilib/x86_64/lib32-mpg123/) but with no success. I also installed yuvcodecs-1.2.exe through Wine, but with little success there either. The log is somewhat different (https://www.diffchecker.com/2M9gdWUU, my previous log compared to the one I'm getting now), but still no good.

--- Comment #17 from Newbyte newbie13xd@gmail.com --- Update: I installed quartz via PlayOnLinux "Install Components" tab (and yes, I am aware that PlayOnLinux issues should not be posted here, but I reckon this is relevant regardless as I got further into the game using this), which did get me past the "loading" freeze. Note that this was with 32-bit libmpg123 AND yuvcodecs-1.2.exe installed. I did not see any video, however, I was able to hear the audio and eventually get to the main menu.
At the main menu, the 2D-elements looked fine and audio worked (no music though, don't remember if there is supposed to be any), but 3D ones were garbled. Not to the point where they obstructed parts of the menu they shouldn't, but they did not look right at all. I decided to load into the game regardless, and was greeted with an expected but very messy world. Audio (dialogue and sound effects) and subtitles worked, but many textures were missing and the characters did not look like they should (I think I heard that the issue is called something along the lines of "exploded vertices"). Animations worked just fine however, I accidentally skateboarded into some water (which (the water) was visible) and the swimming animation and climbing out of water ones looked right, just like the skateboard ones.
After this, I decided to return back to the main menu, which froze the game in a similar manner to how it froze initially without quartz installed: the same looking loading screen, but without the "loading text". However, it did look as though it was loading properly for a few seconds prior to this occurring.

Your log indicates an incomplete or missing installation of GStreamer, which is necessary to play the intro videos. Please make sure that you have 32-bit GStreamer libraries installed, including all of the "good", "bad", and "ugly" plugins.

--- Comment #29 from trymeout@tutanota.com --- I have installed the lib32-gst-plugins-good from the Manjaro repos, but there is no lib32-gst-plugins-bad and lib32-gst-plugins-ugly packages in the repos. The bad and ugly packages are in the AUR but I am unable to build them. Once I get this resolved I will try launching LEGO Island 2 again.

Your log shows you're missing an mpeg demuxer. Did you install the 32-bit libraries?

You're probably missing multiarch libraries. On Debian derivatives 32-bit packages are suffixed with ":i386", as e.g. "gstreamer1.0-plugins-good:i386". You may also need to run "dpkg --add-architecture i386" and update first.
