I set wine to win2000, installed DivX, Xvid, ffdshow, some mjpeg decoder and msvc6 dlls. I also set this registry key (some others appear at installation of the codecs). I420 doesn't work with divx.dll (if a string "vidc.i420"="divx.dll" is added), but if the fourcc is renamed to YV12 (with avifix), it works.
Some codecs from codec packs seem to work, others don't. For example, the vfw i420 codec that is included in k-lite codec pack does not.
If I find an easier way to install the required codecs with all registry keys, I'll post it.
However, there is a way to use Registax now. Thanks.
