--- Comment #3 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com 2013-06-18 13:21:58 CDT --- Third party wine wrappers are not supported. Please retest using plain wine.

Im confused, what do you mean plain wine? How do I do that?
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=33833
--- Comment #5 from Christopher May maquis196@yahoo.co.uk 2013-06-18 16:19:41 CDT --- Austin refers to using a wine without any kind of patches, so either compile wine from source or download a copy of the download page.

--- Comment #6 from Ian ipickert55@gmail.com 2013-06-18 16:24:24 CDT --- I'm still confused, what patches am I using? And when you say use Wine from source, do you mean using the actual "Wine" app to create a prefix?

From your other bug report.
"In metro 2033, my characters have drawn out hands. Im running an ATI Radeon HD 5870, and I was using Danistheman's wrapper on the porting team."
Austin just wants you to run wine without any wrappers. (assuming the wine is a vanilla version).

--- Comment #9 from Christopher May maquis196@yahoo.co.uk 2013-06-18 16:41:45 CDT --- nah, just wine :) It should be an executable file somewhere on your system, I don't know mac's at all so no idea where it would live.

Im sorry Im really trying to figure this out but I simply don't understand. I have three programs for Wine: Wineskin, Winebottler, and Wine, which is the one that I think you are talking about, but I have no idea how to run Metro 2033 in it.

I am 99% sure that it is an issue with my video card, and is therefore not a bug.
If the problem is in the drivers the resolution is upstream. When you have the chance to update to a new driver please post the results.

--- Comment #21 from Michael Wood mwoodj@knology.net --- This is not an ATI issue. The issue occurs using vanilla Wine with an Nvidia card + proprietary Nvidia drivers as well. I am using Wine 1.7.8 with a GeForce GTX 670 and Nvidia 331.20 driver. Lights only work when you get close to them. The bug should be reopened.
