--- Comment #1 from Vitaliy Margolen vitaliy@kievinfo.com 2008-06-08 12:55:36 --- Invalid. Remove/disable pulseaudio. DO NOT use it's alsa plugin - it makes ALSA unusable for Wine.

--- Comment #2 from Vitaliy Margolen vitaliy@kievinfo.com 2008-06-08 12:56:30 --- Pulseaudio emulated ALSA is not supported because of numerous bugs in pulseaudio and incompatibility with Wine.

--- Comment #3 from Mattia mverga@freemail.it 2008-06-08 14:15:47 --- Pulseaudio isn't the problem. I run other programs with audio enable and they work, also Virtual Moon Atlas itself started in light mode (vmalight.exe) works.
However I tried to disable sound support in Wine configuration and the ntdll crash is still there. The attached output is the same, less the first two rows related to ALSA.

--- Comment #4 from Vitaliy Margolen vitaliy@kievinfo.com 2008-06-08 16:38:16 --- Invalid. If your read what you attached - the first two lines: ALSA lib pcm.c:2104:(snd_pcm_open_conf) Cannot open shared library /usr/lib/alsa-lib/libasound_module_pcm_pulse.so ALSA lib pcm.c:2104:(snd_pcm_open_conf) Cannot open shared library /usr/lib/alsa-lib/libasound_module_pcm_pulse.so
Those are not Wine libraries. There are pulseaudio ALSA "plugin" that breaks ALSA for Wine.
This is not Wine problem - disable / remove pulseaudio. Wine _REQUIRES_ direct access to ALSA not emulated and note broken by pulse audio.
Closed invalid DO NOT reopen. Report all problems related to pulseaudio to your distro support.
