--- Comment #1 from Jeff Zaroyko jeffzaroyko@gmail.com 2008-09-07 13:46:16 --- Hmm, looking at your log:
jay@jay-laptop:~$ wine cwbunnav.exe
It seems you haven't installed iSeries Navigator? You should run the setup program from the CD, eg: wine /cdrom/setup.exe
Or, if you don't have the CD available, copy the iSeries setup and files from your server to a directory on your computer and then run the setup program.

--- Comment #2 from Jay jpeasley@verizon.net 2008-09-07 13:55:21 --- Hi Jeff,
I do actually have it installed. About the only application from iSeries Navigator that runs is the Selective Setup or setup.exe.
I had to run winetricks to get the win system dlls that it needed to run and see the other shared dlls from iSeries Navigator.
Thanks,
Jay

From which directory did you run this program again? jay@jay-laptop:~$ wine cwbunnav.exe
This command could not have worked.

Is there a log file in Wine I may view?
Thx,
Jay

--- Comment #5 from Jay jpeasley@verizon.net 2008-09-07 14:37:00 --- If I do this setup.exe for iSeries Navigator executes.
jay@jay-laptop:~$ wine setup.exe jay@jay-laptop:~$ fixme:reg:GetNativeSystemInfo (0x33f888) using GetSystemInfo() jay@jay-laptop:~$

--- Comment #6 from Vitaliy Margolen vitaliy@kievinfo.com 2008-09-07 15:15:58 --- Please read the severity levels definition. You have only one program that affect.
The implied path is: jay.wine\drive_c:\Program Files\IBM\Client Access.
No, the implied patch from your command line is "~" which is your home directory. Be really specific and accurate when posting bug reports.
If I do this setup.exe for iSeries Navigator executes.
You mean to say it actually working after running setup? I thought you said you did install this program?!
Please remove ~/.wine directory and reinstall your program. Include step by step instructions to duplicating the problem. Make sure to include _exact_ commands you run from _exact_ paths.

--- Comment #7 from Jay jpeasley@verizon.net 2008-09-07 15:35:40 --- Hi Vitaliy,
Sorry if I wasn't clear. No cwbunnav.exe does not run after running setup.exe. What I was trying to say was the installation of iSeries Navigator created the proper pathing to know where it resides for wine and executes it. So when I executed wine setup.exe and it started the iSeries installation program I feel the path is known. If I mispell cbwunnav.exe and type it as wine cwbunav.exe the result is this:
wine: could not load L"C:\windows\system32\cbwunav.exe": Module not found
So when I execute wine cbwunnav.exe (iSeries Navigator program) and I get a dump, I am assuming the proper program was run.
HTH,
Jay

--- Comment #8 from Jeff Zaroyko jeffzaroyko@gmail.com 2008-09-07 15:54:44 --- ok, I've been able to install iSeries Navigator successfully with Wine-1.1.4
wget http://kegel.com/winetricks sh vcrun6 cd CAv5r4/Install/Image wine SETUP.EXE
Go through the motions of the install....
cd wine-iseries/drive_c/Program\ Files/IBM/Client\ Access/ wine cwbunnav.exe
The Navigator loads, asking me to setup a profile.

You still have not produced the exact commands and exact directories I asked for. And Jeff indicated that it indeed working.
Closing invalid.
