Wine can't even draw its own applications

I'm using wine-1.7.16 and it's pretty much completely broken. Every application
window is drawn only partially. Most of the window is not updated and just
black. If I move the window it draws but this is not a pleasant workflow.

If you're using composition manager try to switch it off.

I can't switch it off in gnome. There is no metacity in 3.12, only mutter. It
used to work in prior versions of wine.

I tried installing metacity and replace, and it's the same bug even with
composition off.

Wine Wordpad in GNOME3 3.22 Wine 1.9.22

Please see the screenshot.

I think this issue is invalid since Wine's Wordpad (and other windows I assume)
draws correctly in GNOME3 3.22 and Wine 1.9.22.

I think its invalid too since none other complained, but I had similar issue
very recently with steam window. And now I can't replicate the issue anymore. I
didnt bother to open bug report.
