Summary: Problems typing on the address bar in Internet Explorer 6 Product: Wine Version: 0.9.42. Platform: PC URL: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=500798 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: wine-gui AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: cassiel13@gmail.com
When IE6 is started, an "a" is shown instead of "about:blank" on the address bar. Then, when I try to type any address, like www.winehq.com, there is a tooltip just below the address bar with "Search ???????". One ? appears in the tooltip every 2 letters written on the address bar. After pressing the enter key, IE6 shows an error page with "Cannot find server" as the title. So it's impossible to reach any site by typing the address because it gets screwed.
This issue is present since Wine v0.9.41. Version 0.9.40 doesn't have this problem.
My system: - Ubuntu Feisty Fawn 7.04 32 bits. - Wine 0.9.42 from wine.budgetdedicated.com. - Internet Explorer 6.0 from IEs4linux.
BTW, I'm guessing the component.
