--- Comment #1 from Vitaliy Margolen vitaliy@kievinfo.com 2009-09-04 19:34:32 --- Please upgrade to latest Wine version (wine-1.1.29) and retest again. If problem persists, attach (as a text file DO NOT PASTE) complete terminal output.

--- Comment #4 from ruvolof@gmail.com 2009-09-05 03:01:34 --- (From update of attachment 23439) After the upgrading process this is what I get.
Each time that I click on close it add a new line in the terminal and show me the same window with the close button, to close I must close the terminal.

I get different console output, but with the same end result. The application reports an unexpected error, reports an access violation in wined3d.dll, and then repeatedly displays the runtime error dialog. Thus, the issue seems to be in wined3d. The captured backtrace in winedbg was:
Backtrace: =>0 0x7e42f384 ActivateContext+0xe4(This=0x1920d0, target=0x18c140, usage=CTXUSAGE_CLEAR) [/home/andrew/wine-git/dlls/wined3d/context.c:1714] in wined3d (0x0033ee2c) 1 0x7e447804 IWineD3DDeviceImpl_ClearSurface+0x64(This=0x1920d0, target=0x18c140, Count=0, pRects=(nil), Flags=<register EDI not in topmost frame>, Color=0, Z=0.000000, Stencil=0) [/home/andrew/wine-git/dlls/wined3d/device.c:4939] in wined3d (0x0033ef4c) ...
Standard error and backtrace output are attached.

In the console output I've inserted some lines starting with "@@@@@". Those lines indicates when the game show a popup error message and the text of the error. I'm using wine-1.1.43 on Kubuntu 10.04

Tried to override d3d8.dll and d3d8thk.dll,
Don't do that, they would never work on Wine.
