The Windows version of the Maxima computer algebra system crashes with a write
to a null pointer at startup.  A +relay,+seh log is attached, screenshot of
error dialog shortly hereafter.

Hi Juan, i cannot reproduce the bug here. It installs and starts just fine on
my computer. This bug report is for the installer right? Did you  install on a
new ~/.wine?

The bug is for running it, not for installing it.  It installs fine for me.  I
didn't install on a clean ~/.wine (shame on me.)  I'll try that and report
back.

I can't reproduce this. Latest version from SF (5.16.3 - 26-08-2008) installs
and runs just fine here on a clean .wine.
