Bug is still present in current git. Apparently this is because of a missing
registry key. After adding the key
HKLM\Microsoft\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App
Paths\IEXPLORE.EXE
like it is in windows, the installer finishes just fine.
Anyone an idea if we should create this key by default?
