Summary: Acunetix Web Vulnerability Scanner 6.5 output in Console Scanner without newlines Product: Wine Version: 1.1.39 Platform: x86-64 URL: http://www.acunetix.com/vulnerability-scanner/ OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: eluminex@gmail.com
Created an attachment (id=26455) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=26455) Screenshot of output without newlines
The program has a console scanner (wvs_console.exe) which when run without arguments displays some help in the console, but in Wine the output is missing newlines which makes it nearly impossible to overview and use. The output is nicely set-up (newlined) on Windows.
Note: program does not run without native msxml3 possibly due to bug http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=21651 - therefore I'm currently using msxml3.
Running Arch Linux x86_64 with Wine 1.1.39 openSUSE x86_64 build.

--- Comment #1 from Ole Rasmussen eluminex@gmail.com 2010-02-24 11:15:08 --- It seems that the native msxml3 was the cause of the problem. If I remove it the program displays help with newlines. Strange, as I though msxml3 would definitely work better than Wines own implementation - is this normal?
Anyway seen there seems to be nothing wrong with Wines implementation this bug is probably invalid.
