Summary: executin winecfg returns Error of failed request: BadPixmap Product: Wine Version: 1.2 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: wolff_brix@hotmail.com
I just installed wine-1.2 with the command "sudo aptitude install wine && sudo wget http://www.kegel.com/wine/winetricks && sh winetricks allcodecs".
Then I ran winecfg to configure wine. Everything workd do far. Then I installed a Danish program "Pixeline Lær at stave", it's protected by securerom.
Then I tried to run this program, it doesn't do anything. Then I run winecfg to see if everything is correct and now I get the error:
X Error of failed request: BadPixmap (invalid Pixmap parameter) Major opcode of failed request: 54 (X_FreePixmap) Resource id in failed request: 0x48000d8 Serial number of failed request: 920 Current serial number in output stream: 925
The strange is, if I log on as my son. I can start winecfg p with no problem.
My gfx is a Geforce 8800 GT with a resolution to 1024 X 768.
Please advice.
/Michael

Does running anything else besides winecfg (like notepad) work?
I just reinstalled wine with the command "sudo apt-get purge -y wine && sudo rm -rf ~/.wine && sudo apt-get install -y wine".
Now wine works great on both accounts.
