Outdoor environments in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion are a mess.
Lots of errors like:
fixme:d3d_shader:print_glsl_info_log Error received from GLSL shader #110: "Fragment shader was successfully compiled to run on hardware.\nWARNING: 0:2: extension 'GL_ARB_draw_buffers' is not supporte"
I was having problems with GLSL in Oblivion (invisible bodies, mainly) before upgrading Catalyst to 11.3. Now Oblivion works better with GLSL enabled (without GLSL there are no shadows). The only problems I'm facing now are: 1. Not being able to use HDR and AA at the same time (minor issue as it's difficult to get working even on windows from what I've read) 2. Poor performance in outdoor environments, but probably not related to GLSL because the only thing influencing performance is view distance.
So for anyone having problems with GLSL I recommend trying Catalyst 11.3.
Tested on Radeon HD 5770, Wine 1.3.15 and 1.3.17.
