Bug ID: 54611 Summary: Autodesk Fusion 360 hangs during installation Product: Wine Version: 8.2 Hardware: x86-64 URL: https://www.autodesk.com/products/fusion-360/personal- download OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs@winehq.org Reporter: luca.finizio@protonmail.com Distribution: Mint
Created attachment 74140 --> https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=74140 Terminal output [Wine 8.2]
You can download Autodesk Fusion 360 for free (personal use version) from their website at https://www.autodesk.com/products/fusion-360/personal-download (you just have to register).
Clicking on the installer, an initial installation window comes up, but then it doesn't go any further and the terminal keeps printing the same output over and over. I attached the terminal output.
I'm using LMDE 5, Linux Kernel 5.10, Wine 8.2.

--- Comment #1 from Alex Gravitos driverelectro6700@gmail.com --- The same issue for me, same logs. Wine 8.15 on Arch Linux, kernel 6.4.12-arch1-1. Maybe there's something wrong with my hardware - i3-2350M, no GPU, no Vulkan support.

--- Comment #2 from C. Leu kle@bluewin.ch --- A short note also here. There exist since some time a "Collection of small fixes for Fusion 360" Wine GitLab MR.
See https://gitlab.winehq.org/wine/wine/-/merge_requests/2343 for more information.
Note, that MR doesn't mention an improvement regarding a hag during the installation of Fusion 360. And it also doesn't fix the Vulkan child window problem mentioned in bug 45277. But nevertheless it might be of some interests to try it out. ;-)
