When playing World of Warcraft with Wine (on Ubuntu 8.10 AMD64) some mouse-up
events don't seem to always be noticed. This makes the game very difficult to
play well as I find it's causing me to do things like run off cliffs and fail
to target enemies quickly.

I'm running the game with metacity running (not Compiz - so no desktop
effects).

Do you happen to alt-tab away from the program when that happen? Or click
outside the game's window?

Nope, this happens to me without the mouse leaving the window.

I can confirm this.  I use x86 Ubuntu 8.10, and this happens in Warcraft,
Everquest II and Lord of the Rings online.  The left-mouse button always
functions correctly, but the right mouse button doesn't.  Sometimes the clicks
don't register, and sometimes the clicks get stuck, such as would happen if you
always kept the right-mouse button down.
