Here's just an example of an application failing Dan Kegel wanted there.

A duplicate of Bug 664?

I checked the other bug, and the screenshot looks very different. I'm not a wine programmer, so it is possible the two bugs are related. But to the non-educated eye, they appear to be different. See attached screenshot for what I'm talking about.

--- Comment #4 from foobard jens@porup.com 2008-03-05 14:17:56 --- rooting around in the install directory, I don't see any .hlp winhelp files. Instead, the files have .idx and .pdx extensions. See attachment for console file listing.

--- Comment #6 from foobard jens@porup.com 2008-03-08 11:13:05 --- in addition to the .idx and .pdx files in the help directory, the Howto/ENU directory includes 40 or so html files, which appear to include the content that should appear in the Help screen.
As an entirely uneducated guess, perhaps Adobe is using some sort of proprietary web browser inside of Acrobat Pro (and perhaps other products too)?

--- Comment #13 from Lei Zhang thestig@google.com 2008-07-28 16:28:48 --- I don't see it with Acrobat Reader 6.01. The only choices in Help -> How To are "Read eBooks" and "General topics".
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11847
--- Comment #14 from foobard jens@porup.com 2008-07-28 18:42:05 --- Yes, that's correct. The only two How To topics in Acrobat Reader 6.01 are "Read eBooks" and "General topics". When you try and read one of those topics, however, the new window that pops up is empty.
This affects Acrobat Pro 6 more seriously as there are more How To topics available.

Still present in latest git.
Blocked by bug 23861. Using patch from that bug, this is still present in wine-1.3.21-92-gb6484cc.

Bug 11847 depends on bug 23861, which changed state.

--- Comment #19 from butraxz@gmail.com 2013-11-24 12:00:41 CST --- This ticket has not been updated for over 900 days. Development recommends to check the status on your bug every release or two and let to be known if the bug is still present. If not, mark it fixed. If you are no longer able to put effort to this ticket, you can abandon it.
Is this still an issue with 1.7.7 or higher ?
