--- Comment #3 from Jerome Leclanche adys.wh@gmail.com 2011-01-24 23:06:25 CST --- Can you attach one without any debug variables?
If it's too large, bzip it and attach the bzipped version, don't use external websites please.
Likely dupe of bug 24521

Yes.
Does native devenum help, by chance? 'winetricks devenum'

Still cannot get past 439/440.
Is it useful to know this: When it crashes at turn 439, I find I cannot save the game in the menu. If I can see the current saved game in the list, and save another file, it consistently won't crash until the next turn, 440, where I go to the menu to save the game, and the list is no longer there, I know it will crash.
Are there any other winetricks you think I should try? At one point I went through and tried alot of different things I saw on different sites here and there, none of which helped. I have since wiped the wine directory and re-installed Civilization V, so also know that this is a fresh wine directory with no winetricks enabled, except now 'devenum'
Thanks!

Likely dupe of bug 24521
Ah, indeed. Read up on the comments and symptoms, a lot seem to parallel my ailments. Likely dupe I suppose.

Try increasing ulimit -n. If it doesn't happen anymore (or happens severely more slowly), close as dup.

It says for some reason, that I can't increase the value; operation not allowed.
Oddly enough, though, I increased the process priority to -5, just to see what would happen. For the first time since Install I've gone now 20 turns without open files increasing past 960 (eg, not crashing).
Anyway, thanks!
