--- Comment #5 from Xavier Vachon xvachon@gmail.com 2010-07-10 22:17:27 --- In current git (1.2-rc7), I am unable to reproduce this bug. I have excellent performance with the game and sound.
Using Gentoo Linux X64, Oblivion with community patch 3.2.7 and nvidia-drivers 256.35.

--- Comment #7 from quasi-anonymous user from bugmenot.com winehqbugs@bugmenot.com 2011-04-15 00:11:05 CDT --- I still have this bug, found in 1.2.3 and 1.3.17 -- running Debian stable, an old nvidia card with nonfree drivers. I get a playable ~12-15 fps with my current oblivion settings in 1.1.28, but 1.1.29 and up drop down to ~5 fps, and lowering display quality seems to have little effect.
Also, is there a reason Oblivion is not listed under the affected apps for this bug? (There aren't any listed, in fact.)

--- Comment #8 from heroeschman@gmx.de 2011-09-14 16:18:28 CDT --- Not sure if this is related but i think so, because of the regression you posted:
winemp3.acm: Link to system libmpg123.so.
I am running Oblivion on fedora with 64 bit. I had extremly low fps too. Wine output showed that gstreamer was unable to find a plugin to play mp3 files. After also installing the 32 bit versions of gstreamer-plugins-good, bad and ugly it worked. Not sure in which package the mp3 plugin is so i installed all of them. After that Oblivion runs fine for me.

--- Comment #9 from Aric Stewart aric@codeweavers.com 2012-01-31 07:36:55 CST --- Could you retest this in 1.4 and get me a +quartz,+gstreamer,+strmbase,+mpeg3,+tid log?

--- Comment #10 from Luis Alvarado luisalvaradox@gmail.com 2012-02-28 13:07:17 CST --- I can confirm this is working properly in 1.4rc5. Tested the game for about 12 hours. I can hear many sounds and there is no drawback with video lag by using the sound. Everything is working as it should.
