Does the problem go away if you tap your control and alt keys?
For Dragon Age, yes.

--- Comment #5 from Xavier Vachon xvachon@gmail.com 2010-07-16 00:31:24 --- This is still an issue in current git (1.2-rc7) for Dragon Age. Tapping CTRL+ALT is a workaround.

--- Comment #6 from scrimekiler@yahoo.fr 2013-03-28 14:25:37 CDT --- Same bug here with Dragon Age Origin 1.04.Switching to alt tab or changing desktop prevent the keyboard from working and also some mouse fonctions (like opening a door with right click) Using again alt tab, changing desktop or switching fullscreen/dindowed mode doesn't resolve the bug. Have to restart the game...
Using wine 1.4.1, gentoo 32 bits, kernel 3.7.10

--- Comment #7 from Xavier Vachon xvachon@gmail.com 2013-06-30 14:17:03 CDT --- Still a bug in wine (1.6-rc4). The correct workaround is to hit the 'alt' key once and the game recovers focus.

--- Comment #8 from Someone scrimekiler@yahoo.fr 2013-11-06 15:36:32 CST --- still a bug in wine 1.7.0.
But now the workaround of "alt" key works

Is this issue still valid? At least 1 known keyboard regressions has been fixed meanwhile. Also if you can test this bug with wine-staging and it works with it that means they have a patch for this and this bug is mos likely a dupe of some other bug.

--- Comment #14 from Felix Yan felixonmars@archlinux.org --- I could not test for now as I cannot enter the game in recent wine versions. I'll try to resolve that first :(
