--- Comment #1 from Sebastian Lackner sebastian@fds-team.de --- This sounds like a regression, to ensure that this bug can be fixed as quickly as possible please try to do a regression test, to find the exact commit which is responsible for the problem.
Take a look here how to do that: http://wiki.winehq.org/RegressionTesting

Hallo Sebastian,
leider kann ich mit diesem Tip nichts anfangen.
Nekla
Please always write your answers in english.
So far this bug doesn't contain any useful information for developers to start working on it:
* No exact description what happens when you try to start the game. "cannot be started" is not really very precise.
* No terminal output so far (take a look at http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#get_log how to grab the terminal output).
* No regression test. If you need additional help with running a regression test, please ask in the winehq forums ( https://forum.winehq.org/ ) for help.
Also, please leave the importance set to "normal". Critical should only be used for problems which prevent all applications from working (see http://wiki.winehq.org/Bugs ).

--- Comment #4 from Nekla hpd53@arcor.de --- I didn`t know that I must write to a german person in English. The problem with Tomb Raider is, it starts to load the game, after some seconds the loading stops. What is a regression in Wine, can someone explain it to me?

I see this same symptom with Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Disabling d3d11 allows the game to run again.

Hello, could please anybody tell me what I must do for disabling d3d11 in Wine Config. Thank you very much for helping me!
Hi,
Run winecfg and go to « Libraries » tab.
In the « New override for library » select, you must select « d3d11 » and click on the « Add » button. Below, in the « Existing overrides » select, you must select « d3d11 (native, builtin) » and click on « Edit... » button. In the new window, you select « Disable » and click on the « Ok » button.
« d3d11 » will then be disabled, you must close the winecfg window by clicking on the « Ok » Button.
Attached file is a screenshot of the winecfg window to disable d3d11.

This seems to be a new regression introduced by a commit c0f77b4a4a2a389f54c3572156883eec6d6314d2. I've filed a new bug (bug 42154).
