--- Comment #1 from Kalle Richter krichter@posteo.de --- Since crashs occur randomly it's only a guess, but I'd say that 2.10 behaves more stable.

--- Comment #2 from Kalle Richter krichter@posteo.de --- I just realized that I'm experiencing this with 2.1 as well which worked fine before, so the issue might be caused by the new kernel version 4.10-22-generic of Ubuntu 17.04 instead of 4.8.x on Ubuntu 16.10.

--- Comment #3 from Kalle Richter krichter@posteo.de --- This doesn't occur on Linux 4.8.17 with wine 2.1, but with 2.10. I played for 30 minutes and wine didn't crash with UT2004.exe which I didn't experience for some weeks or months, now.
The issue occurs with 2.10 on Linux 4.9.33 and 4.11.6.

--- Comment #4 from Kalle Richter krichter@posteo.de --- With Linux 4.12-rc7 the same issue seems to have the slightly different message
``` XIO: fatal IO error 12 (Nicht genügend Hauptspeicher verfügbar) on X server ":0" after 9808 requests (9808 known processed) with 0 events remaining. ```
when using WINE 2.11
--- Comment #5 from joaopa jeremielapuree@yahoo.fr --- Does the bug still occur with vanilla wine-8.17? Test in a new fresh wineprefix with no dll overrides.
If yes, does it occur with the demo https://www.fileplanet.com/archive/p-79544/Unreal-Tournament-2004-Demo-v3334
--- Comment #6 from Kalle Richter krichter@posteo.de --- I could verify it works with WINE 7.2, I assume it works with 8.17.
