The details of the error

I managed to install heroes 3 but when i try to launch the game it tells me
that the program has encountered a problem and needs to close, the details are
in the attachement.

I successfully play Heroes III Complete, SoD, WoG.
The winetrick is ddraw=gdi

You need to retest this bug against 1.8, 1.9 or 2.0 series of wine. The higher
the number the better.

Your wine is so outdated. Suggesting needinfo status for bug.

What makes you think it's fixed?

There's not really evidence either way. Sergey's comment that winetricks works
around it shows a workaround, but that doesn't make it fixed or invalid.

My comment 2 is not about panic as in description. Whithout the trick gthe game
works too just not perfect. With the trick the graphics perfect. With older
wine versions (I tested since 1.5.x) the game has bugs with cursor and with
localisation. Sincs wine-1.9.3 I see no glitches.

I remember the crack "noCD" causing the game crashes. May be this is the case.
I play pure game with virtual drive. No hacks.
