I tried to reproduce this but was hit with a hard to pin down trap. I've just 
submitted the patch for the trap and played the game (for testing purposes, of 
course) for about 45 mins with nothing other than the usual buffer underrun 
messages. I'm closing this as worksforme, please reopen if the problem persists
