When a steam window is closed it will instantly reopen itself This happens on the main window and all other windows including the friends browser and chat windows.

(I haven't tested it a million times, mind you.) I am using the latest Beta UI, and I'm on a Mac, version 10.6.4. Wine is up-to-date with the latest dev (MacPorts install), 1.3.3. It seems only sometimes that I have to click it twice.
So, in other words, with the new beta ui, bug is pretty much gone. Maybe something in the release notes of Steam can explain?

If you keep trying to close a window exhibiting this issue, it will eventually close and stay closed - but that might require 10 tries.

1)Open steam main window. 2)Open steam's friend list. 3)Open chat with any friend. 4)Try to close any of steam windows without closing the chat first.
At the moment I open chat with any friend, this appears:

Nothing to do with this. The reason it reappears is that Steam toggles the visible bit through WM_SETREDRAW.
