I compiled and installed wine 1.1.8,then winecfg and lots of app can not run now! use Ctrl+C to abort winecfg .it gave me some information relate to winspool.drv :
[xelnaga@ASUS6 ~]$ winecfg ^Cerr:module:attach_process_dlls "winspool.drv" failed to initialize, aborting err:module:LdrInitializeThunk Main exe initialization for L"C:\windows\system32\winecfg.exe" failed, status c000013a [xelnaga@ASUS6 ~]$

Did you compile with '--without-cups'?

no, I hadn't realized that was necessary until recently.
I mention this primarily so that the bug reporter can see it and try compiling without cups support or try starting the cups daemon.
