I only know how to exit Google SketchUp 8 by choosing File --> Exit. This is
when the Program Error shows.

It says

The program SketchUp.exe has encountered a serious problem and needs to close.
We are sorry for the inconvenience.

...and then, below that, the Wine text.

All I did was start the app, then Menu-->File-->Exit. It did not crash this
time.

You were asked to provide terminal output without any debug switches.
If there is no crash, then there is no point in attaching anything.

OK. I'll attach another log file when (if) it crashes in the future. I attached
that one yesterday in case it contained something that obviously makes the
application prone to crashing.

Hello folks,

I can't reproduce the crash on exit, resolving 'fixed'.

$ sha1sum 8.0.0.0_GoogleSketchUpWEN_1_.exe 
8a7e270c54eb3b6def797547becd02809ef6e439  8.0.0.0_GoogleSketchUpWEN_1_.exe

$ du -sh 8.0.0.0_GoogleSketchUpWEN_1_.exe 
37M    8.0.0.0_GoogleSketchUpWEN_1_.exe

$ wine --version
wine-1.7.14
