Does it work if you set "d3d11" to "disabled" in Wine's configuration utility?
Just wondering if that workaround will work for the Origin client...

Disabling d3d11 causes it to crash without a window notification. I will add another attachment for the terminal output with d3d11 disabled.

--- Comment #4 from Jens Reyer jre.winesim@gmail.com --- In the Origin AppDB entry I suggested to file a bug about this. But now a recent post suggests this is also an issue on Windows, and may be workarounded by using the legacy version of Origin:
https://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=26175: ~~~~~ RE: Origin Installer not working by mikaelvz on Monday October 3rd 2016, 9:47 Not really a bug from Wine.
There is several threads on EA forum about this error : - answers.ea.com/t5/Origin/Origin-hardware-specifications/m-p/5585245#M222280 - answers.ea.com/t5/Origin/Unable-to-install-Origin-due-to-Hardware-Specifications/m-p/5576600#M221415 - answers.ea.com/t5/Origin/I-do-not-meet-Origin-s-hardware-specifications-now/m-p/5574964#M221245
I found a workaround here [...]: forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/899172/new-origin-how-to-update-scaling-oversize-issue-fixed-in-beta You need to install an old version of Origin from this link : www.dm.origin.com/download/legacy ~~~~~

--- Comment #5 from Andrew stafdehat@gmail.com --- Created attachment 55813 --> https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=55813 dxdiag.exe output
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=41410
--- Comment #6 from Andrew stafdehat@gmail.com --- I'm seeing the same issue, and started digging into why Windows users are seeing this error. Found these guys: http://answers.ea.com/t5/Origin/Unable-to-install-Origin-due-to-Hardware-Spe... http://answers.ea.com/t5/Origin/I-do-not-meet-Origin-s-hardware-specificatio...
Sounds like perhaps video drivers have recently become relevant? Anyway, I installed 'cmd' with winetricks and ran dxdiag like all the folks on EA support forums are suggesting. Looks like wine also has no visible drivers: Driver Name: Driver Version: () DDI Version: 9 (or higher) Driver Attributes: Final Retail Driver Date/Size: , 0 bytes WHQL Logo'd: n/a WHQL Date Stamp: n/a VDD: n/a Mini VDD: Mini VDD Date: n/a, 0 bytes
This could explain why the old Origin installer was a workaround. I gave the legacy installer an attempt myself, but I think the URL (https://www.dm.origin.com/download/legacy) has been updated to redirect to the latest installer.
Anyway, I'm seeing all the same symptoms as Thomas, even down to d3d11 output spam, and disabling d3d11 causes an outright crash. I've attached the full DxDiag.exe output, to give some information on what the app perceives as problematic, from within wine. My guess is that Origin doesn't like the lack of video driver information.
