Adrian, I'm not trying to waste your time. People often forget they filed bugs, or forget to check up on them. If there is 6 months of inactivity, I ask if it's still a problem. It takes less than a minute to say yes or no, it's not a
I had to:
- upgrade Wine (you explicitely requested "1.1.32 or newer" but Debian unstable
only has 1.1.31 so I built it myself)
- find the right CD
- install the game
- run the game
You seriously claim that "takes less than a minute"?
I'll try to word it a bit more clearly when pinging bugs. However, keep in mind that I and others are dealing with thousands of bugs, not every single one can get perfect detail. A little bit of civility and courtesy wouldn't hurt from your end.
And this is for an easy to reproduce bug.
huge time effort. Unfortunately, not all bugs are easy to fix, and so there is a lack of activity. In your case, it seems that there may be an easy workaround (setting x to 16-bit), but you've never said if that works or not. How can the bug be fixed if you don't answer the questions asked?
I answered it IMHO quite clearly in comment #2.
If comment #2 was unclear to you, you failed to asked for a clarification.
Yes, the workaround works (but it's an ugly workaround, not a bug fix).
Is it now clear enough for you to start fixing this bug?
Any additional information you need for fixing it?
My offer to buy and send a copy of the game to the person working on fixing the bug is also valid for you.
I won't be fixing it, but that does tell someone who may be fixing it what the problem is.
Reopening.
