[Bug 5783] GetTextMetricsA doesn't handle first/last char in Symbol font properly

If you enumerate all TrueType fonts on the system and run your test on them
all you will notice that your algorithm doesn't work.

I have a test that enumerates all 327 truetype fonts on my system and with my
algorithm it produces only 3 failures.
